For the first time in it’s history, the Model Lady Blue Devils soccer team will play for a state championship.
Model defeated ACE Charter 1-0 in a semi-final match-up on Thursday night. The Blue Devils will now play region foe Breman for the title next Tuesday at McEachern High School in Powder Springs.
The only goal of the game came from Model freshman Emily Gentry.
No team has put up a points against the Lady Devils since a non-region clash with Calhoun on April 15.
The championship game will be a rematch from late March that saw Breman beat Model 2-0.
