The officers report said”
On 04-06-2024 at 0107 hours, I was dispatched to assist Aragon PD with a male who was making threats to the Officer. It was originally a suspicious person call, about a male that was walking near the park in Aragon, drunk and cursing loudly. Ofc. Keith with Aragon PD got out with the subject near Williams Street and New Prospect Road. Dispatch advised that Ofc. Keith requested another unit non emergency in reference to a male making threats towards him. As I was nearing the scene, dispatch advised us that Ofc. Keith had lost visual of the subject. As I got behind Ofc. Keith on 5th Street, I heard him radio that the male was crossing Highway 101.
I could then see the male.
When I neared the highway, I was able to see a male matching the description given by Ofc. Keith. The male was white, no shirt and blue jeans. I then observed the male walking towards a vehicle in the northbound lanes flailing his arms and it appeared he was saying something to the subject in the vehicle. As the male was walking towards the vehicle, the occupant was reversing backwards from the male subject, most likely due to his aggressive and volatile demeanor.
Ofc. Keith pulled out near the male and due to him walking towards the fleeing motorist, I pulled directly behind the male and exited my vehicle. As I exited my vehicle, I ordered the male to stop and come to me. At this point, both myself and Ofc. Keith were in full uniform with emergency lights on both marked police vehicles activated. As I was walking towards the male it was evident he was under the influence of illegal narcotics. He was profusely sweating, very jittery and pointing towards the innocent bystander vehicle telling them to come kill myself and Ofc. Keith. Due to the fact that he had threatened Ofc. Keith, was obstructing the roadway and causing a vehicle to retreat from him, as well as his obvious intoxicated state, I approached the male to place him into handcuffs.
As I approached the male he began to take steps away from me backwards with his body squared to me and swinging his arms at his sides. The male then stopped walking back. When the male stopped walking back he began to hop up and down and swing his arms by his sides and said “hell yeah yall finna die mother fucker”.
The male then stopped hopping and took a brief defensive fighting posture by blading his body and jerking his pants up. At this time, I stepped away from the male and drew my departmental issued Taser X7 (Serial#X4001P7P4) and pointed it at the male subject. The male then began to walk away once again. During the course of him walking away I told him if he didn’t stop he would be tased. The male replied “shoot me with that taser and your whole family gonna die”. I advised the male multiple times to stop, turn around and place
his hands behind his back because he was under arrest. The male ignored my orders and continued to backtrack towards the opposite shoulder of the highway. As we neared the edge of the highway shoulder, the male then complied with my order finally and placed his hands behind his back. Due to his threats and aggressive demeanor, I kept my taser pointed at the subject until Ofc. Keith successfully placed him into handcuffs.
Once the male was handcuffed, I holstered my taser and the male was asked what his name was. He advised Jason Alexander Muhammod. I knew that not to be true, based on previous encounters with him, but I could not recall his correct name. I advised the male that he would be charged for false name if he continued to lie about his name. The male repeated a similar false name at a later time. The male was later identified as Nicholas Allen Wynn. Nicholas was searched incident to arrest and transported by Ofc. Keith to Polk County Sheriff Office for proper booking procedures. Due to an error with the warrant login for Ofc. Keith, and the incident being within my jurisdiction as well, I issued the listed charges for the Mr. Wynn.
Wynn is charged with terroristic threats/acts, giving false information to police, obstruction, pedestrian on roadway and pedestrian under the influence of alcohol.
