Consuelo Alvarez, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she exploited an elderly woman after using their bank card to make thousands of dollars in purchases for First Brazilian BBQ Restaurant on Dean Avenue.
Reports stated that in November 2023, Alverez purchased $1,888.55 worth of food for the operation of restaurant without her approval.
During that same time period, Alvarez is accused of using the victim’s bank card to pay $1,000 to Georgia Power
Alvarez is charged with two counts financial transaction card fraud and exploitation/intimidation of the elderly.
