Travis Sentell Wimbley, 45 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he conspired with others to sneak contraband into the Floyd County Prison.

Reports said that Wimbley conspired with Darius Hunter and civilian Sharnica Fasutin in an attempt to sneak the contraband inside the prison while Hunter was incarcerated there.

Wimbley is accused of facilitating instructions to deliver the contraband to the restroom of the 3rd Avenue parking deck on April 15 and 16, 2024.

The items, “strips”, were able to be retrieved before being retrieved.

Strips consist of paper that is soaked by various drugs and chemicals then allowed to be dried before being consumed.

Wimbley is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, felony probation violation and parole violation.
