Daryl Andrew Jordan, 57 of Rockmart, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a naked woman.
Reports said that officers were dispatched to the area of Raiford Road at Collard Valley when a naked woman was seen walking and visibly upset and another man, later identified as Jordan, in the opposite direction.
Police said that while speaking with Jordan they saw him actively bleeding from cuts and was also visibly upset.
When asked about the nude woman, Jordan said that she was “at the house trying to kill herself”.
Jordan stated that the woman became irate and began throwing items in the residence at him and would not let him leave the residence. He stated that the woman stabbed him with a knife, but officers were not able to locate any puncture wounds nor slices on Jordan.
The officer added that they did observe Jordan with claw and scratches that seemed to be obtained by someone trying to defend themselves or get away from.
The woman then told police that Jordan attacked her “because he knew he was going to go to prison if law enforcement came in contact with him in regards to this incident.”
The victim added that she and Jordan argued all night long the previous night which ultimately led up to the physical confrontation. The officer added that they observed the victim to have an almost swollen shut eye and grappling marks at her throat.
Jordan then told the officer that the victim had suffered the injuries after running into a wall.
Officer’s said that the victim’s injuries did not look as if that were true.
Jordan is charged with battery.
