The Floyd County Police Department recently volunteered to help a citizen in need with the “Floyd County Works” project.

According to FCPD spokesman Mike Bell, As a result of a call for service, one of our officers identified an individual in serious need of help with their home and property.  With the help of United Rentals, Floyd Prion Prison, and Floyd County Public Works, we were able to make a significant improvement to a family’s living situation.”

These projects began some years ago when officers encountered an elderly woman living along who had several fallen trees in her yard and across her driveway and no means of having them removed.
