Newly elected Floyd County Commissioner David Thornton will be sworn in on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in Courtroom A located on the third floor of the Floyd County Judicial Center.
Due to limited space, the event is open only to immediate family and members of the media.
Thorton won the seat following a run off with Chip Hood last week. Thorton defeated Hood 2,892 votes to 1,713 votes.
