Alexandra Jane Woodward, 40 of Calhoun, was arrested this week after reports said allowed her 8 and 10 year-old children to stay at home for a long period of time.
Reports said that Woodard went to Duluth with her boyfriend to get items from a storage unit.
Police stated while doing a welfare check they observed open alcohol containers and a nicotine vape on the counter.
Officers added that after speaking with Woodard it took her appx an hour and fifteen minutes to return to the home.
Woodard is charged with two counts 1st degree cruelty to children.
