April Dawn Salmon, 49 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she assaulted another person kitchen knife while yelling and cursing at them.
Reports said that the incident occurred when Salmon willfully held property in order to extort money from the victim.
Salmon then began to yell and curse, causing a 2 year-old child to cry and became scared.
Salmon then reportedly lunged at the victim while going after a kitchen knife.
Police went on to say that while taking her into custody, Salmon attempted to pull away while making threats to police.
Salmon is charged with simple assault, two counts disorderly conduct, two counts obstruction, and 2nd degree cruelty to children.
