Charles Russell Reams II, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he assaulted a 31 year-old woman at a home on Pine Street.
Reports said that the altercation began when Reams yelled at her while raising a fist and placing the victim in fear of her safety.
Reams then allegedly proceeded to grab and shove the woman into furniture.
The victim was left with visible marks on her chest and scratches on her forearm.
Furniture in the home was also broken during the incident.
Reams is charged with simple assault, battery, simple battery and probation violation.
