New Echota ‘First Saturday Hike’

New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic will be hosting ‘First Saturday Hike’ on April 5^th, 2025, 10am-11:30 am.

Visitors will join our ranger for the morning and explore the nature trails here at New Echota-Cherokee Capital State Historic Site. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history and nature of our beautiful site as they walk on the same grounds that the Cherokee lived on. All ages are invited to join the ranger for this event. The hike will be easy to moderate in difficulty.  

Admission fee is required upon entry of the site: adults (18-61), $8.00, seniors (62+) $6.00, youth (6–17) $6.00. New Echota is located one mile east of Interstate 75(Exit 317) on GA HWY 225 N. near Calhoun, Georgia.  Call 706.624.1321 or visit GaStateParks.org/newechota for further information.
