Luis Duque, 24 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he got into an altercation with his live-in girlfriend over a Facebook friend request.
Reports said that the victim reported to police that Duque punched her in the face multiple times during a dispute.
Officers stated that they observed visible bodily harm and bleeding from the victim’s face.
The couples two juvenile children allegedly witnessed the attack.
Duque told officers on the way to the jail, he “accidently added another girl on his Facebook”.
The incident occurred on Lees Chapel Road.
Duque is charged with battery and third degree cruelty to children.
