John Edward McCaa, 25 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he had imprisoned and injured his girlfriend during a dispute on Central Street.
The officer’s report said:
“I noticed the female was deaf and unable to speak. She began trying to sign and show us what had happened. She was making pushing and hitting motions with her hands. She was then given a pen and paper and she asked for us to get her iPad.”
Police then said that they went into the kitchen with McCaa and asked him what had happened. He stated that the female had been gone all day door dashing and had not been home long and she was trying to leave to go get food. He stated that he told her she was not going to leave again and that he was not going to let leave because he had watched the baby all day. He stated that she then ran out the back door and then tried to come back in the front door. He stated that he tried to keep her from coming back inside the house and pushed her out of the door frame.
McCaa is charged with false imprisonment, intimidation of a disabled adult, simple battery, obstruction of a person making a 911 all and false imprisonment.
