Gordon County deputy sheriffs recently responded to a report of the discovery of a dead body a short distance from US Highway 41 very near the Gordon County/Bartow County line.
Construction workers made the initial discovery in an overgrown area and notified authorities. The body appeared to be that of a male individual, and also appeared to have been in place for some period of time.
No positive identification has been made at this time.
There was no evidence of violence or other foul play at the scene.
Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their investigation in conjunction with the County Coroner’s Office
