Jorge Matilde Gonzalez, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he tried to hide drugs from officers during a traffic stop on North Broad Street.
Reports said that after being pulled over, Gonzalez was seen placing a bag of marijuana inside a cup so that the officer could not find it.
It was also discovered that Gonzalez had been driving on a suspended license.
Gonzalez is charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, obstruction, driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain lane.
