John L Durant Watkins, 63 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly stole from numerous businesses around Floyd County.
Police said that on August 22, 2024, Watkins stole $23 worth of merchandise from the 777 Food and Lottery on Maple Avenue.
Then this week, he was captured allegedly stealing $172.19 worth of items from Kroger on Turner McCall Blvd.
Watkins is charged with two counts theft by shoplifting and failure to appear.
