Joe J Allen, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he burglarized a home on Hull Avenue.
Reports said that while burglarizing the home, Allen also violated a court order to stay away from the resident of the home.
Officers went on to say that Allen barricaded himself inside the home when they arrived.
Allen is charged with first degree burglary, aggravated stalking and four counts obstruction.
