Matthew Lee Gresham, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with methamphetamine during a traffic stop for an expired car tag.
Police said that a K9 officer alerted on the car during the stop and a search was conducted.
The search resulted in police finding a glass smoking pipe that contained the meth residue.
Gresham is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects and operation of an unregistered vehicle.
