Michael Ali Powell, 17, and Brandon Charles Griffin, 19, both of Rome, were arrested this week after reports said they led police on a chase after stealing a Ford F150.

Police stated that when they located the truck, the teens fled from officers at a high rate of speed.

During the chase, Powell is accused of striking a curb while reaching speeds of over 70 mph in a 30 mph residential zone.   Powell is also accused of running three stop signs during the chase.

Both are charged with theft by taking, entering an automobile with intent to commit a crime, attempting to elude police, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and three counts running a stop sign.
