William Thomas Love, 35 of Dalton, was arrested in Rome after reports said he barricaded himself inside a home on Turner Road and failed to comply with officers.

Reports said that the events began when police went to the home to serve an arrest warrant.

Police stated that Love went into a room in the home where guns were accessible.

While being taken into custody, Love is accused of kicking officers.

Love is charged with simple assault, obstruction, parole violation, criminal trespass, criminal attempt to commit a crime and entering an automobile with intent to commit a crime.  and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

William Thomas Love, 35 of Dalton, was arrested in Rome after police said he was found breaking into a car on Haywood Valley.

Officers said that when they arrived on Scene, Love fled on foot.

Love is charged with entering an automobile with intent to commit a crime, criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor, obstruction, criminal trespass and parole violation.
