John Ray Brown, 33 of Cleveland, TN, was jailed in Rome after a strip search at the Floyd County Prison.
Reports said that Brown was in the lobby when officers began to notice him acting suspicious.
Brown was taken to a back room where the strip search was performed. It was then they located “strips” in his possession.
The straps were sent to the GBI crime lab where they tested positive for Indazole Amides, a schedule I controlled substance.
Brown is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
