The Calhoun Police announced this week that they have acquired a fully stocked medical kit and oxygen kit for K9 Thanos and his handler, officer Jay Azar.
According to the CPD, “These vital resources enhance the department’s ability to provide immediate medical care to Thanos in the event of an emergency, ensuring his safety and wellbeing while serving the community”.
The medical kit includes essential first-aid supplies tailored for K0 officers, while the oxygen kit is specifically designed to administer oxygen to animals during critical situation.
The donation was made possible by Protection 4 Paws, an organization dedicated to provide essential equipment and support to K9 units across the country.
