Joseph Richard Dye Jr, 36, and Kayla Dawn Cantrell, 34, both of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said a traffic stop on North 2nd Avenue resulted in the seizure of an assortment of drugs.
Reports said that officers stopped Dye due to having an active warrant for his arrest. A K9 officer was then called to the scene and immediately alerted on the vehicle.
A search resulted din officers finding methamphetamine, marijuana, hypodermic needles and a spoon with drug residue.
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of meth with intent to distribute.
Dye is additionally charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and probation violation.
