Six inmates at the Floyd County Jail are facing new charges after a gang beatdown that occurred on October 31.
According to jail records:
17-year-old Chason Larry Smith, 54-year-old Robert Alexander Langston, 20-year-old Avant Kareem Milner, and 17-year-old Jaquarius Cornelius Woodard, struck the victim in the face and head. The victim, inmate Alvin Chambers. 58, , suffered visible injures. The men were commiting the actions as part of the Brothers 4 Life, Bloods, East Side Bloods, and Ghost Face Gangsters Street gangs.
The four, along with 19-year-old Tykel Hutchinson and 32-year-old Devin Ray Dockery then threatened witnesses with violence if they did not recent their original statements regarding the incident.
Smith, Langston, Milner, and Woodard are all additionally charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and battery causing visible harm
