Benjamin Caleb Waits, 34 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after police said he attempted to hide out a person he knew that was wanted for a felon offense.
While taking Waits into custody at the West Rome Walmart, Waits was found in possession of methamphetamine and a shotgun.
Waits is charged with possession of meth, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, hindering the apprehension of a criminal and probation violation.
