Kenneth Zachary Whaley, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week for trafficking numerous drugs out of his Wingfield Street home.
Reports said that the officers initially stopped Whaley for failing to maintain his lane of traffic along Faye Street and Shorter Avenue.
During the stop, officers located appx 63 grams of meth, Kolonapen, alprazolam, and hydrocodone pills.
Officers stated that while attempting to place Whaley into custody he puled away and ran before refusing to obey commands to stop. He was captured after a short chase.
A search warrant was then obtained for his home on Wingfield Street. The search then resulted in officers finding methamphetamine, Adderall, digital scales, syringes, and firearms.
Whaley is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of a schedule II and IV controlled substance, possession of drug related objects, drugs not in original container, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction, failure to maintain lane and probation violation.
