Mainor Jonny Gonzalez, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a deputy while being detained for an investigation near the intersection of Mark Street and Old Dalton Roads.
Reports said that while being questioned, Gonzalez began to punch the deputy in the face.
Gonzalez is charged with felony obstruction, simple battery against a police officer.
