Jimmie Ladell McCowan, 54 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly called 911 and make false reports.
Reports said that McCowan called 911 three different times within two hours and said that he was being stalked and shot at by gang members.
He was taken into custody at his home on Wilson Avenue.
McCowan is charged with unlawful conduct during 911 calls.
