Jordan Christian Luis Moreta, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a 33 year-old woman in the face and arm.
Reports stated that the victim suffered visible redness in both areas.
The incident occurred at a home on Callier Springs Road.
Moreta is charged with simple battery.
