Russell Patrick Dudash, 24 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he assaulted his wife after she gave him a drug test and him testing positive for amphetamine.
Reports said that the victim gave her husband the drug test after he “acted strange over the past few days”. In order to get him to go to sleep, she said that she gave him melatonin. However, Dudash allegedly kept getting up from the couch and opening the front door, insisting that someone should leave.
The victim told Dudash that one was there and that he was hallucinating. She told him that he needed to rest and sober up, among other things. It was then Dudash became very irate and started pulling the blankets from the couch while yelling at the victim.
Dudash proceeded to grab the victim by the neck, pulled her hair, and yelled, “Who is it?” before striking her several times in the arms and face. After finally stopping, Dudash allegedly then picked up a pen, made stabbing motions above her head while yelling, “Who is it, or who am I?”
The victim then gathered her children and attempted to leave the home. Dudash then approached her holding a kitchen
knife while swinging it in a careless motion towards her. He then began to hist the vehicle with a knife on the windshield and windows.
Dudash is charged with aggravated assault, simple battery and 3rd degree cruelty to children.
