According to authorities, two young adults were killed and a third injured in a single-vehicle wreck in Gordon County over the weekend.
Reports said that just before midnight on Saturday, a pickup truck lost control going around a curve on Highway 53 near Fairmount where it left the roadway and overturned.
All three occupants of the truck were ejected. GSP officials later stated that Kayla Crook, 26, and Brody Hightower ,17, both of Fairmount, were killed,
William Cannady, 23 of Talking Rock, was airlifted from the scene to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta with serious life-threatening injuries.
