Pamela Colleen Ellison, 67 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she took money from a woman to file her taxes but never completed the work.
Reports said that the victim gave Ellison $400 on March 15, 2023 to file her taxes. However, on July 2024, the victim received a letter from the IRS stating that she had yet to file her tax returns for the 2022 year.
Ellison proceeded to use the funds for personal gain.
Ellison is charged with theft by conversion.
