Gryphon Michael Graham, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a 2004 Ford Ranger from a home on Paris Lane.
Police said that when they first found Graham he attempted to flee on foot in an effort to avoid being captured.
Graham is charged with theft by taking, obstruction and two counts contempt of court.
