Rolando Manuel Alonso, 24 of Rockmart, was arrested at a home on Mississippi Drive in Rome after police found him distributing drugs and in possession of a gun.
Police said that Alonso was found with numerous THC vape pens, vacuumed sealers and a digital scale during the search.
Alonso, a convicted felon, is also accused of throwing a shotgun into the attic in an attempt to conceal the weapon.
He is also accused of attempting to flush marijuana down the toilet in an effort to prevent police from finding the drug.
Alonso is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug related objects and tampering with evidence
