Joseph Tyler Holcombe, 18 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he kicked officers in the leg while they were attempting to take him into custody for a mental health evaluation.
Holcombe then continued to pull away from police while being taken into custody.
Reports said that Holcomb was taken into custody at a location on Woodbine Avenue.
Holcomb is charged with simple battery against a police officer, felony obstruction, and obstruction.
