Xing Song, 34 of Leandro, California, was arrested in Rome this week when reports said he was found to have been driving under the influence after running from police.
Police said that when they initiated the traffic stop on Ga 53, Song speed up to over 11 mph above the limit.
Song is charged with DUI and attempting to elude police.
