Charles Lynn Whitten, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after he threw a broom at a 28 year-old woman.
Reports stated that the victim was holding an infant child during the dispute.
Reports added that Whitten yelled and used curse words toward the victim.
A witness also told police that Whitten became enraged at her when she defended the victim.
Officers went on to say that they observed a cut on the victim’s head.
Whitten is charged with battery, disorderly conduct and cruelty to children in the 3rd degree.
