Gregory Lyle Epperson, 57 of Newnan, was arrested in Rome after reports said he was found trying to get into numerous vehicles at an apartment complex on Redmond Road.
Officers said that after they arrived on the scene, Epperson attempted to flee on foot.
Epperson is charged with obstruction and three counts criminal attempt to commit a felony.
