Chad Michael Legere, 42 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a woman inside a home Park Street.
Reports said that Legere became intoxicated and began to yell at the woman while not allowing her to leave the residence.
When officers arrived on the scene, Legere is accused of ignoring officers commands to not speak to the victim when he yelled and cursed at her from across the yard.
The victim told police that the dispute began after she confronted the suspect about his drinking then wanting to leave the home.
Legere is charged with false imprisonment, public drunkenness and obstruction.
