Leonardo Olivia, 21, of Florida, was injured in Gordon County this week after reports said he crashed his SUV with a parked fuel tanker off Highway 41 Monday night.

Reports said that Olivia was driving intoxicated while being pursued by Calhoun Police on North Wall Street.   While attempting to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone, Olivia lost control of his Jeep Patriot and left the roadway.

It was then, Olivia struck a power pole before his car continued to strike a fence and front porch to different locations.  The Jeep then rotated clockwise before striking the fuel tanker that was parked in a parking lot.

Olivia was airlifted from near the scene with serious injuries.
