The Summerville Fire Department responded to a fire on Taylor Street on Sunday. According to Summerville Public Safety Director Brian Ozment, the fire department responded at 10:30 PM and the structure was engulfed when firefighters arrived.
The house was not occupied, but did have power. Trey Skelton, Investigator with the Summerville Fire Department, was called to the scene due to suspected arson.
A reward is being offered by Georgia Arson Control for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s).
