The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office identified the four deceased individuals from the quadruple murder as that of Joshua Pedro Pelico-Pelico, 19 of Dalton, Daniel Segura-Cruz, 17 of Rome, David Antonio Delgadillo, 21 of Dalton, and Robert Valencia 18 of Rome.
The preliminary investigation of the scene of the shooting indicates there were individuals that had traveled from Rome to meet with Delgadillo and Pelico at the Pleasant Grove Park to buy drugs Evidence also suggests that both parties arrived at the location armed with firearms. As a result of this encounter between the two parties, gunshots were exchanged.
A 16-year-old juvenile from Rome, has been taken into custody and charged with four counts of felony murder.

A 16 year-old Rome teen has been taken into custody in Whitfield County after a quadruple murder over the weekend.
Reports said that the victims were listed as 21 year-old and 18 year-old males from Dalton and a 18 and 17 year-old from Rome, all being Hispanic.
The shooting occurred to Pleasant Grove Park just after 11 PM on Saturday.
According to Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood multiple firearms were discharged in the shooting based on the number of shell casings recovered at the scene.
Chitwood added that it is currently believed that the shooting began as a robbery. Contraband was also located in the victim’s vehicle.
The teen has been charged with four counts of murder.
