Bobby Joe Tidwell Jr, 39 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he nearly strangled a woman to death.
The victim told police that Tidwell placed his hands around her neck and squeezed to the point she “felt like her body was on fire” and that :she was going to die”.
The victim also told police that she felt like she lost consciousness during the attack at a home on East 2nd Avenue in Lindale.
Tidwell is charged with aggravated assault and probation violation.
