The Cass-White Road corridor project between I-75 and Busch Drive and Great Valley Parkway and Highland 75 Industrial Park is one of 49 projects getting additional infrastructure funding.

Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp yesterday announced new details for the historic $1.5 billion investment in transportation infrastructure around the state included in the Amended Fiscal Year 2024 budget. This funding will advance transportation projects reviewed by the State Transportation Board yesterday during its monthly meeting while serving as a down payment for future expansion as Georgia continues to experience record job and population growth.

First announced during the 2024 Legislative Session, this investment will more than double the state’s funding to cities and counties for local transportation infrastructure, provide an increase in funding for general aviation airports, resurface more state highways, accelerate the completion of crucial transportation projects already underway, and kickstart new strategic projects to prepare for Georgia’s future.

Over the past four years, the Cass-White Road corridor has seen over $2 billion in industrial plant expansions. The ease of access to I-75 and US 411, along with the availability of land and up-to-date utilities, has led to the permitting and construction of 3,134,980 sq. ft. of industrial and warehouse development along this corridor. The increase in traffic brought about by employment and the expected amount of freight truck traffic has necessitated the improvement of the roadway to accommodate the additional traffic.
