Sterling Leon Palmer Jr, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to blow up the Renaissance Marquis senior living facility on Cedartown Highway.
Reports said that the incident began as an attempt to terrorize his girlfriend at the facility.
Police added that the threat was sent to the victim over a text message.
The facility had to initiate safety protocols that placed numerous residents in fear for their life.
Palmer is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
