Isaac Ray Nance, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he slapped a woman in the face during a dispute on 2nd Street.
Reports stated that Nance repeatedly slapped the woman causing redness and bruising to the right side of her face and eye.
Nance is charged with battery.
