Scotty DeWayne Morris, 55, and Georgette Ellen Curtis, 59, both of Rome, were arrested at their Wilson Street home after a verbal dispute became physical.
Reports said that Curtis slapped Morris in the face before he shoved her away.
Both are charged with simple battery.
