Mario Puente, 65, and Kimberly Puente, 28, both of Rome, were arrested this week after police said they locked a dog inside a vehicle without water or ventilation with temps over 95 degrees.
Reports said that the couple were taken into custody at a shopping center on Shorter Avenue.
Both are charged with cruelty to animals.
