Kayla Jo Tate, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she failed to provide necessary nutrients and medical care to her dog, which resulted in severe emaciation.
The animal was found at her home on Lakewood Drive.
Tate is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
