Robert Carter III, 59 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was made $1,823 to perform work on another’s home but never completed the job.
Police stated that Carter took the money from the victim between December 15, 2023 through January 8, 2024 to work on the home’s floors, counter tops, cabinets and fence but never did any.
Carter is charged with conversion of payments for real property improvements.
